In 2013, the Georgia State University Library began planning a new space that would further advance its educational resources. The Collaborative University Research & Visualization Environment, or CURVE, would be an interactive research center where students and faculty could visualize information on a large, ultra-high-resolution display.
In order to realize their vision, the University Library would need to implement a powerful, highly-integrated video wall system. The system would require robust capabilities to support research, including the ability to render massive data sets from a wide range of operating systems. However, it would also need to be intuitive enough to be operated by students of all disciplines with varying levels of technical expertise. In addition, it was important that the video wall system be interactive and responsive so that it would create an engaging, collaborative environment.
After exploring a number of options, the University Library chose CineMassive to implement the CURVE video wall system. CineMassive was selected because of its proven visualization technology and ability to implement highly-customized solutions. Furthermore, as both manufacturer and integrator, CineMassive was equipped to create a fully-integrated, turn-key video wall solution tailored to the unique needs of the University Library.
